Description

Bay Tree Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed home, built circa 1700. The property is a light and bright, beautiful family home with a warm, welcoming interior and plenty of versatile living accommodation. The generous open plan kitchen/dining room is well fitted with hand made units painted in soft grey with pewter handles, white marble tiling and pretty period style wall mounted storage/display cabinets, plate racks and shelving. There is space enough for family dining with open archways through to both the sitting room and the bright, sunny garden room. The sitting room has abundant features with exposed beams and a large original Bath stone fireplace forming the focal point of the room. The garden room has floor to ceiling glazing and French doors leading out onto the patio and rear garden. Further to this is the snug/family room offering the perfect space for adults or children to play, watch TV, read or study. There is a utility and study space and a separate staircase leading to bedrooms two and three. The main stairs lead up from the kitchen to the first floor, which is also light and bright with skylights to the ceiling. The main bedrooms and family bathroom are linked through to the other two bedrooms, allowing some flexibility for family life as well as plenty of built in storage and practical space. Both bathrooms have marble tiles throughout and underfloor heating.

Beautiful gardens surround Bay Tree Cottage, with Cotswold stone walls to the sides, trees and shrubs to border and a large lawned area with stepping stones leading to the wooden summer house. There is driveway parking to the front and more to the roadside. The sunny west facing patio gets all the sun and is a great space to sit and enjoy the garden. A shingled area to the side of the property provides additional parking.
